Enjoy the view as we fly tandem in a powered paraglider, also referred to as a PPG or paramotor. This flight lasts approximately 20 minutes and is available in many parts of California, but most often takes place in either Auburn, Lincoln, or Davis, CA. Tandem flying in a powered ultralight is only possible through an exemption to FAA FAR Part 103. In our case, we fly under exemption #9785. While the FAA does not certify ultralight pilots or their equipment, our lead instructor, Jason Shapiro, is an Advanced Flight Instructor for ASC and also holds the highest free flight ratings through USHPA, Tandem and Advanced Instructor, and Tandem and Instructor Administrator. Our equipment is certified and specifically designed to high quality standards and meticulously maintained. Be prepared to show up early, as there's a lesson prior to the flight that lasts approximately 45 minutes.
