Paragliding is a safe sport that can offer a range of personal experiences from zenful to challenging. Every pilot has their personal preferences for flying conditions. Although I personally prefer thermalling, many prefer the more sedate conditions that coastal ridge soaring provides.

Based in El Dorado County, California, instruction is offered at local training hills and several different northern CA free flight sites. In-class instruction is held in Shingle Springs, CA, which is located is 24 miles (30 minutes) east of downtown Sacramento off I-50.
